Job Summary

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in driving infrastructure automation, continuous delivery, observability, and security through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your strong communication skills will help facilitate alignment and understanding across departments, while your analytical thinking will support thorough evaluation of emerging technologies to ensure the best solutions are chosen. You will lead efforts to promote process improvements and establish standards, offering clear guidance and decision-making support to project teams. This role demands excellent organization and planning to drive the successful adoption of cloud platform capabilities in partnership with software engineering, architecture, and information security teams, contributing to the organization's overall strategic goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive Infrastructure Automation: Develop and manage automation frameworks and tools to improve scalability, efficiency, and consistency across our infrastructure;
  
• Enable Continuous Delivery: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that ensure rapid, high-quality code deployments and enable smooth delivery processes;
  
• Enhance Observability & Security: Lead efforts to improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, ensuring infrastructure security and observability across all environments;
  
• Promote Standards & Best Practices: Define and enforce best practices in DevOps methodologies, guiding teams to achieve operational excellence;
  
• Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Analyze new tools and technologies to continually improve infrastructure, optimize costs, and increase reliability;
  
• Provide Leadership & Mentorship: Support and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment;
  
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with software engineering, architecture, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices across the company.

Essential Skills

• Experience in DevOps, with a strong background in cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure automation;
  
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana);
  
• Ability to assess and choose the most effective tools and solutions based on technical and business needs;
  
• Proven experience guiding teams and making strategic decisions to improve infrastructure and processes;
  
• Skilled in managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities to achieve operational goals.
