As a DevOps Cloud engineer you apply your development skills in our system (OneSumX for Risk Management) that integrates data, performs calculations and runs models for various departments like Market Risk and Finance.
Your impact as DevOps Cloud engineer at NN Bank
From devising the infrastructure to the implementation of that infrastructure: you realize it all together with our DevOps teams. To do this, you will work with our ALM system:
OneSumX for Risk Management is an application provided by the vendor Wolters Kluwer which we host ourselves on AWS and is going to be migrated to Azure. This application supports the Finance, Risk and Treasury departments in managing and reporting NN Bank's interest rate and liquidity risk. The CALM (Controlled Asset & Liability Management) team maintains the data streams with incoming source data and outgoing calculated ALM data. The Dutch Central Bank, among others, is a major stakeholder.
What you are going to do
- Maintain and develop Azure DevOps pipeline
- Create and maintain the servers, VMs in the Azure environment
- Deploy and support applications on AKS using helm
- Setting up of Azure SQL databases
- Creating and modifying scripts for new requirements
- Monitoring cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency
- Automate Security processes (for instance: IT General Controls)
- Look after the scalability and availability of the applications

Who you are
You bring relevant knowledge and experience (3-5+ years) and you have the right mindset to always keep learning and improving. You are a real team player with a hands-on attitude and flexibility to deal with changing priorities in a dynamic environment. You have an eye for detail, but do not lose sight of the overall picture and the end goal. As soon as you see opportunities, grab them immediately. You will then be able to convince others of your plans, partly due to your simple explanation of complex matters. You want to fully understand the Cloud concepts, in order to create an innovative solution that is future-proof. Your vision on the secure delivery of the network architecture completes the picture.
We are also looking for:
- A motivated colleague with positive mindset and continuous learning attitude
- Experienced with AZURE cloud
- Spin-up and Spin-down Environments on request basis
- Knowledge of CI/CD and Azure DevOps
- IaC Terraform
- Deploy and support applications on AKS using helm
- Scripting in PowerShell, Python
- Admin: security, networking and monitoring
- Agile methods and principles such as DevOps, Scrum
- Splunk is a plus
- Good in Logical and Analytical Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- HBO/WO diploma in IT or similar education

You will work in the CALM DevOps team as part the Risk & Finance Value Chain of Technology & Transformation within NN Bank.
