About Team ASOBI:
Team ASOBI is a first-party PlayStation Studio located in Tokyo, Japan, responsible for the critically acclaimed ASTRO BOT for PS5. The team is looking to expand by bringing worldwide talents with high skills, passion, and a playful, collaborative mind. The Studio has a mission to create top quality, innovative games for players of all ages on PlayStation.

Responsibilities:
- Play and test our game titles in various phases of development.
- Report bugs daily in our custom database.
- Investigate specific issues upon request from the development team.
- Design and customise our bug database to be the best fit for Team ASOBI developers.
- Besides game titles, test and report issues related to internal tools used by the development team (for example custom features added to Maya…)
- Welcome new QA teams sent to work on our games on periodical basis.
- Train these QA teams to adapt the right bug-seeking mindset for our games.
- Design test plans.
- Lead and organise QA team distribution according to their skill sets.
- Localization testing coordination.
- Builds check and distribution to various external partners (content rating agencies, award agencies etc…)
- Take on various other Production assistance jobs as needed in periods of down-time.
Required Skill and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience testing games for home consoles and PC.
- Curious mind who can play the game in unexpected ways and find rare issues.
- Ability to reduce reproduction steps to the bare minimum.
- Extremely high-quality standards for games.
- Good knowledge of standard software packages (Office, Jira, Photoshop…).
- Good eye for visual presentation in their own work (PPT, Doc, Wiki pages…)
- Friendly, communicative.
- Willing to learn new software and methodology.
- Passion for working directly with developers.
- Understanding of each discipline that makes up a game team.
Language proficiency
- Fluent level of Japanese Language proficiency
- English language proficiency is not required though interest for learning should exist (lessons will be provided and paid for).
