Sitting within our Connections tribe, we’ve created an incredibly exciting new opportunity and are looking for a Developer to contribute their ingenuity to an industry leading piece of work for REA. We are looking to reimagine what the Enquiries experience is for Consumers and Customers alike and you’ll be given the opportunity to be part of a wonderful team setting out to reimagine this experience.
What the role is all about
We are looking for a Developer who is passionate about full stack development with solid backend experience. You will be working collaboratively with our product and technical team members to help deliver and support REA’s main website. The Developer supports the team in the following ways:
- Help design, implement and maintain our new and existing software products.
- Keep abreast of the latest technology advancements to inform product and technical design.
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, processes, and team development
- Actively develop skills and experience through continual learning and evaluation
- Support the Senior and Lead Developer in ensuring code quality and teamwork is being fostered in the development team
Who we’re looking for
- Core experience working in backend development with the capability to develop full stack.
- Demonstrated experience working in one or more of our programming languages – Typescript, Javascript, Scala or Java.
- Demonstrated Skills on building Restful and GraphQL APIs .
- Familiar with containerisation and cloud technology (Preferrable AWS).
- Developed skills in software development techniques such as object orientation, functional programming, test driven development, micro-service architecture and continuous delivery.
- Open to learning other languages and frameworks that support our technical direction.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens.
- Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.
