The Role

Desktop support engineer are highly skilled in fixing any technical problems, including network configuration and account setup, clarifying the doubts that customers raise with regard to products or services through their calls and emails, and resolving their issues on priority

How You Will Make an Impact: 

  • Technical guidance and support for India & US employees to resolve problems in systems
  • Provide technical guidance and support to resolve problems or malfunctions in systems, applications, hardware and software
  • Document, evaluate, resolve and track inquiries pertaining to the functional operation of all installed hardware and software products
  • Coordinate new user access and systems setup with various support groups
  • Collaborate with vendors and systems support units in problem identification and resolution
  • Coordinate with the end-user community, team members and various support groups when major problems are suspected
  • Work in India & US Time zone on rotational basis when required.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer (L1) with around 2 - 4 Years of experience
  • Installation & troubleshooting of different types of Operating system like Windows 8,10 ,11
  • Installing, Configuring and Troubleshooting of Mac operating systems
  • Patch and security configuration compliance (includes virus detection for Desktop & Laptop)
  • Providing Remote support to Users located at different locations (Usage of remote connectivity tools like RDP, Anydesk, LogMeIn, VNC etc.), VPN connection.
  • Basic General software installation skills must
  • Basic hardware (desktop / laptop) Knowledge is Advantage
  • Troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, operating system, Printer, Scanner and networking problems
  • Performing Desktop, Laptops, Individual user Backup schedule and restoration.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Outlook /Email in User systems
  • Performing antivirus management (SOPHOS Knowledge is Advantage)
  • Coordinating with Hardware Vendor for technical or replacement support
  • Installing and configuring the network printers
  • Monitoring system and network performance

Network Support:

  • Network support for the entire organization.
  • Troubleshooting network related problems and maintaining the connectivity at all times.
  • Wireless routers trouble shootings.
