Design Director, Brand Identity
We are seeking a permanent Brand Identity, Design Director to join our team at Dentsu Creative based in either New York City or Chicago Metropolitan Areas. In this leadership role, you’ll help shape and define the visual identity for brands while guiding a team of designers to produce outstanding creative work across various media platforms. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership, account managers, and strategists to translate business objectives into powerful design strategies that resonate with clients and audiences alike. This full-time role offers opportunities for long-term career growth, creative leadership, and direct influence on agency-wide initiatives. You will report to our Brand Identity, Group Design Director.
- You’ll define and communicate the agency’s design vision, values, and standards, ensuring alignment with client objectives, brand guidelines, and industry best practices.
- You’ll lead, inspire, and mentor a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and professional development.
- You’ll partner with senior leadership, account managers, and strategists to understand client goals, market insights, and business objectives, crafting design strategies that drive impactful results.
- You’ll oversee the conceptualization and execution of design projects across various mediums—including branding, advertising campaigns, digital experiences, and print collateral—while ensuring excellence in storytelling and craftsmanship.
- You’ll maintain the highest standards of design quality and creativity by conducting thorough reviews and providing constructive feedback to meet client expectations and uphold agency standards.
- You’ll stay current with emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices, sharing insights with the team to promote continuous learning, innovation, and thought leadership.
Qualifications
- 12+ years' experience in advertising or branding in an agency setting
- Experience managing and mentoring design teams
- Strong ability to develop and execute design strategies that align with business objectives
- A passion for design innovation and a creative mindset
Additional Information
The annual salary range for this position is 94K- 153K. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
