Deployment Support Engineer - DC-VA-MD (Metro Area)

Job Summary
The Deployment Support Engineer for the Integration team plans and supports new system installations, software and hardware upgrades, and other onsite services. They are the first point of contact for users who require support for their PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. The role is largely based on working independently at client sites; therefore, excellent interpersonal communication and time/project management skills are critical for customer satisfaction, as well as for individual and organizational success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Travel to client sites in the DC-MD-VA metro area to deploy new workstations or software installations for a variety of clients

Serve as a consultant providing baseline machine training to end users

Plan and manage a variety of projects to ensure that they are completed timely and accurately

Serve as an escalation point for onsite and emergency support requests
Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows client operating systems

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Basic experience with Office 365 administration and support

Hands-on experience configuring desktop and laptop hardware (installing RAM, replacing batteries, etc).

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record

Prior MSP experience a plus

Microsoft and other technical certifications are a plus

Experience with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate a plus
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone. Close vision is required to work on the computer for long periods of time each day.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, and phones. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job requires regular travel in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
