Locus Robotics is seeking a Deployment Engineer to implement our Robotic warehouse automation solutions at customer sites. The Deployment Engineer is responsible for deploying and implementing our robotics solutions in warehouse environments through mapping, training, and customer engagement—leveraging strong communication skills to build relationships and ensure successful implementations.

This is a remote position based in Germany, supporting customers across Europe and the UK. The role requires approximately 50% travel, and residing near a major airport is a plus to facilitate frequent travel.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation and deployment of complex robotic order fulfillment solution, including robotic hardware, software and servers at customer locations.
  • Generating and configuring SLAM-based maps of warehouse/fulfillment centers according to a given AutoCAD or CAD related software.
  • Manage on-site customer relationships, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
  • Assist with infrastructure setup, and robot and software configuration, providing hands-on support during initial system deployments to ensure successful implementation.
  • Provide on-site customer support following installation to ensure smooth system operation, address any issues, and assist with user adoption..
  • Perform other duties as required. 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelors Science Degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 1+ years’ experience with Autonomous Mobile Robots. 
  • Experience with Linux or Unix systems, ROS (Robot Operating System), and SLAM-based navigation desirable.
  • Warehouse software or logistics systems deployment experience.
  • Experience in warehouse fulfillment center mapping a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of IT or complex professional systems deployment.
  • Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Knowledge of and interest in diverse technical topics, including software, hardware and robotics.
  • Proficient English and German written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.    
  • 50+%  travel is required in Europe and UK.
