Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we want you to join our team as a Deployable Principal / Sr Principal Systems Administrator. This position is located at Edwards AFB CA
Your Duties include:
The day-to-day functions of this position are to: Prepare and support team members, who are currently on work-related travel for back-end support; with maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including interfacing with users to diagnose and resolve issues, open trouble tickets, and coordination with senior network administrators. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Supporting operations at globally dispersed locations and be willing to travel to locations to support with short notice. Offers will be contingent upon ability to receive program access.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Support establishment of the Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration planning and fielding.
• Provide support for Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019 platform and functions
• Manage SCCM/ MECM platform to support customer requests for agent installation and tuning monitors and rules.
• Participate in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
• Perform as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.
• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with multiple levels of users, stakeholders, management, and customers alike.
• Support multiple networks. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, working in a solo or team-based environment; as necessary.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
• Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
• Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
• Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
• Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
• Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
• Prepare security documentation for Cyber Security review and approval.
• Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
**This position may be hired at a Principal or Sr Principal Level:

Principal: A minimum of 9 years of direct relevant experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years with Masters may also be considered.

Sr Principal: A minimum of 13 years of direct relevant experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 7 years with Masters may also be considered.

Ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.

Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

A current DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain said clearance.

Ability obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days of submission.

A valid U.S. Passport.

Ability meet medical requirements for worldwide travel and comply with mobility requirements.

Able to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 continuous days away from primary work location and potentially 180+ days of travel each year. (Travel 50% of the time).

Have and maintain CompTIA Security+ CE certification or higher level IAT certification.

An understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019, Workstation operating systems, end-user support in an Active Directory environment, general understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

Familiarity with Communications Security (COMSEC) devices (i.e. Taclanes, KGs, vIPers, SKLs, etc.), their function, operation, and proper handling of such.
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced level of experience and familiarity of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and associated products (MS SCCM, SCSM, MECM etc)

Strong understanding of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, its operation procedures and service delivery activities required to maintain mission-readiness.

Experience with scripting with PowerShell and automating various IT processes

Strong experience with Active Directory

Strong experience with Group policy design, testing and implementation

A current DoD Top Secret clearance

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Familiarity with deployment cycles and comfortable with frequent CONUS and OCONUS Travel.
Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00Salary Range 2: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
