Position Summary
Fit, assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical plant equipment. Ensure
decorator machine is operating at peak efficiency within quality specifications.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
• Perform overall maintenance of machines according to maintenance plan.
• Repair and test equipment to specification.
• Trouble shoot faulty equipment, assemblies, and repair or replace defective parts.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specification.
• Proficient with use of precision measurement equipment and tolerances including feeler
gauges and dial indicators.
• Ensure regular maintenance and troubleshooting of problems with machinery.
• Train and develop employees on the concepts of TPM (total preventative maintenance).
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal
audits as required.
• Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
• Vocational education a plus (Mechanical, Technical or similar).
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• 3 years’ experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Specialist in manufacturing/industrial
environment.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as a team.
• Basic knowledge of welding, plumbing, and fabrication a plus.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environmental protection
regulations.
