Your Role as a Deckhand
In this exciting position, you will:

Perform essential seamanship duties, including line handling, watch standing, and ship operations.
-
Collaborate with a team to maintain cleanliness, readiness, and functionality of navy watercraft and equipment.

Assist in pre- and post-mission preparations and craft maintenance.
-
Support basic facility operations, including cleaning, security, and visitor control functions.
-
Cooperate closely with active-duty military and government personnel to achieve mission success.

You will also participate in Leidos and Government safety programs, ensuring compliance with high standards.

What You Bring
Basic Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to pass a background check and gain access to U.S. Military Facilities.

Prior experience in basic seamanship duties and familiarity with small boat operations.
-
Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in an arduous shipboard environment.
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in close quarters over extended periods.
-
USCG Entry Level MMC or greater with corresponding STCW certificates.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior U.S. service afloat on U.S. Government vessels.

STCW RFPNW certification.
-
Hands-on experience launching and recovering small craft, line handling, and basic small craft maintenance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00
