About the team

Our Tech and Security teams keep us moving each day, no matter where we are in the world. From the hardware to the networks and everything between, they humbly make it all happen.

Responsible for database design, development and administration of very large scale OLTP and analytical data structures including logical and physical design

Provide application SQL performance tuning and load testing support

What you’ll own

  • Optimize Db2 resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes, design architecture and configuring database parameters
  • Lead, mentor and/or provide guidance to less experienced database DBAs where applicable including guidance for troubleshooting escalated issues
  •   Provide team oncall rotational 24/7 Incident Response
  •  Provide project support in alignment with business goals
  • Support compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Provide database metrics to promote cost reduction and capacity planning
  • Maintain data integrity within the production environment including the execution of proper backup and restoration policies and procedures which provide point-in-time restore capabilities (disaster recovery)
  • Deploy database changes in strict accordance with Service Management policies and procedures

You’ll own it in our Cincinnati, Ohio which is the north America Global Headquarters for Worldpay. Address is 8500 Governors Hill Dr, Symmes Twp, OH 45249.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/MIS or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of heavy Db2z database administration experience and production support requiring Db2z V12 experience
  • Preferred experience with IDAA, IDAA Bulk Loader, and CDC Replication
  • Preferred experience with Db2 Transparent Archiving, 3rd party archiving tools, and architecture with large table purge / archiving. 
  • Hands on experience with performance tuning of SQLs
  • Preferred experience with REXX scripting and Stored Procedures
  • Db2 Connect and Db2 Client installations and configuration
  • Experience working with very large database Partitioning (> billion rows)
  • Experience working with large systems in data sharing sysplex environment
  • Experience working with IBM Db2 Admin tool suite, Query Monitor, and Omegamon (Db2 PE) and in-depth knowledge of Db2 utilities such as LOAD, UNLOAD, High Speed Unload, RUNSTAT, REORG, COPY, COPYTOCOPY, MERGECOPY, MODIFY and SPUFI.

The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
