What You Will Do:
Support a Security & Infrastructure office at a large IC Agency with database engineering, analysis, and maintenance. Works with and leads a team that helps to optimize processes, data infrastructure, and related processes for database usage and operation. Additional duties include:

Provide technical experience for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis

Develop relational and/or object-oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software
-
Project long-range requirements for database administration and design. Responsible for developing a database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls

Work on the front-end of the lifecycle-requirements through system acceptance testing and Initial Operating Capability

Develops requirements from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular business an IT subject matter area

Assist with recommendations for and analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance

Translate requirements and data into a usable document by creating/recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros; updates existing queries, creates new ones to manipulate data into a master file; build complex systems using queries, tables, open database connectivity, and database storage/retrieval using Cloud methodologies
What You Will Need:
-
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal with DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph

Bachelor's degree
-
15 years of work experience with FOUR (4) or more years of experience in Data Engineering
-
Experience with relational database programming in SQL
-
Substantial experience with scientific computing packages in Python, R, DAD, and MATLAB
-
Experience preparing comprehensive presentations and reports for varying levels of management
