About the Role:

As a Stable Kernel Systems Analyst, your primary goal is to effectively communicate our clients’ requirements to our development team through analysis of existing code and ensure these projects meet our clients’ business needs. Your special blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills allow you to effectively work with our clients’ product owners to define the "why" and “how” behind some of their most innovative projects, including all aspects of building and support.

You will report to the Director of Client Experience and work closely with our engineers, sales team, and other colleagues across the company.


Responsibilities include:

  • Eliciting complex business requirements from stakeholders and other functional teams and translating them into technical specifications for user stories
  • Creating and maintaining key documentation (requirements, process maps, test plans, etc.)
  • Solving complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Leveraging system expertise to support and troubleshoot moderately complex issues
  • Enabling the broader development team to work faster
  • Contributing ideas around the life cycle of the system and communicating details regarding system initiatives in meetings, discussions, or brainstorming sessions
  • Communicating effectively with team members and business stakeholders
  • Managing internal and external dependencies with partners and representing the Stable Kernel team when meeting with partners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as an analyst
  • Experience driving teams and stakeholders to decisions  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with a notable ability to translate highly technical concepts to business applications and vice versa
  • Ability to search through GitHub repos to analyze existing code and extract requirements from it to write stories for new features.
  • Ability to break down business requirements into smaller technical components.
  • Ability to read and understand GoLang, Java, or Python
  • Logical approach to problem-solving

  • Methodical, investigative, and inquisitive mind

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS S3 buckets and DynamoDB
  • Has a high level understanding of how APIs operate and interact in an enterprise production environment
  • Familiarity with API architecture with understanding of a frontend/backend team relationship
  • Solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to search through logs to identify key tags to help with troubleshooting, gaps in logging, and create dashboards based on errors
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Amplitude, Tableau, Google Analytics, or other visual tools
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Naturally curious, pursuing continuous improvement and exhibiting a personal drive for excellence
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Postman, AWS, Kubernetes, DataDog, JSON, and BugSnag are helpful
  • Previous experience as an analyst on a backend software development team especially desirable
  • Previous experience with QSRs or delivery applications is a plus

Base Compensation Range: $110,000


This is a full-time position.
