Job Description The Finance Data & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible for the development, production, and transformation of Financial data and reporting across CCB. Our vision is to improve the lives of our people and increase value to the firm by leveraging the power of our data and the best tools to analyze data, generate insights, save time, improve processes & control, and lead the organization in developing skills of the future. Our overall product objectives include: 1) constructing a data environment that enables cross-business, customer-centric decision making and reporting needs across CCB in a consistent framework; 2) creating an ecosystem of dashboards, sourced from authoritative data sources, to replace all manual management reporting and to allow our employees to focus on generating actionable insights; 3) eliminating user tools, saving time, and increasing ability to generate insights through data, dashboards, and developing new capabilities.
Job Description:
Data Analysis and Business Management: This position will assist in the development, management, and maintenance of the Consumer Analytic Reporting Infrastructure (CARI) for the Chase Consumer and Business Banking lines of business. The role requires a strong technical and analytical background with a focus on reconciliation and analysis between multiple data sources. Interaction between Finance, Information Technology, and other groups are required to ensure modifications to the infrastructure fully meet business requirements.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial data analysis between the general ledger and data warehouse
  • Work closely with the business users/analysts to understand requirements and functional needs.
  • Ability to create and translate business requirements into prototype solutions for new/enhancement requests, with appropriate standards.
  • Work closely with end-users/IT during the UAT phase of the project and perform testing to ensure new functionality meets end user requirements
  • Work with IT to migrate to production the developed solutions.
  • Validate that production results comply with business requirements and expected results.
  • Ensure reconciliation of existing financial systems, including general ledger and account based applications leveraging Essbase, Tableau and SQL
  • Ability to leverage Essbase providing analysis and reporting across all levels of management, including cross line of business
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests, "what-if" scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries.


Skills / Competencies Needed/Education Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
  • Must be proficient in SQL query writing. Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata, Cognos/BO, SAS/R.
  • Must be proficient with analysis in Excel including but not limited to Pivot, Vlookup, trend analysis etc.
  • Must be proficient in one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding.
  • Self-starter, team player, good communication skills, be proactive in asking help when needed
  • Ability to take cues/guidance and solve problems independently
  • Big Data/Tableau experience a plus.
