The Role

The Data Solutions Lead is a key member of the media analytics team at EDO, working side-by-side with sales, product, and data science leadership to bring EDO data to life and maximize value for clients. The role requires equal parts analytic skill and the ability to leverage client context from television networks, movie studios, marketers and their ad agencies to drive actionable, data-driven insights for EDO’s clients. This is a unique role within EDO in which you will have the opportunity to work on dedicated clients, as well as support the broader media analytics team on advanced data queries across all EDO clients.

What You Will Do

  • Understand our clients’ needs and determine new ways to leverage EDO data in compelling ways that match those needs.
  • Lead rollout of new analytics solutions and features for clients in collaboration with EDO’s Data Science and Engineering teams.
  • Support client accounts on custom analytics projects for research and insights teams at TV Networks and Fortune 500 advertisers.  
  • Ensure that clients are deriving maximum value from the EDO partnership to ensure high client satisfaction, renewals, and account growth.
  • Proactively deliver advertising category and brand-level insights to TV Networks that can be used to help drive TV ad sales.
  • Run trainings for EDO’s media analytics team to onboard new team members and equip current team members with knowledge surrounding technical aspects of analysis work
  • Work with the data quality team by identifying issues pertaining to data accuracy and completeness for more complex cases.
  • Monitor and adapt to changing industry dynamics and the competitive landscape. 

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in advertising/marketing research, corporate strategy, or consulting, preferably with experience in or exposure to the Media and Entertainment industry.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with large datasets in R and SQL.
  • Versatility, i.e., the ability and willingness to wear multiple hats and switch gears frequently.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, and who has the desire to be part of a fast-growing, exciting, and nimble start up company.
  • Ability to write and deliver presentations and reports that present our information in a succinct and usable manner.
  • Highly comfortable with close client engagement, and strong presence in meetings with senior executives.
  • Passion for TV and advertising is a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 PLUS equity in a mid-stage company and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, experience, location and the level of education attained of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
