Caterpillar Inc. seeks Data Scientist II at its facility located at 500 N. Morton Ave., Morton, IL 61550. Lead large/complex projects within a systems process area. Serve as subject matter expert for global team for all key metric reporting and tools. Define requirements for system processes for major releases or emergency changes. Test accountability for systems processes for major releases or emergency changes. Manage and coordinate work for team in Bangalore. Provide guidance to other members on the global team. Perform deep-dive analysis. Generate ad-hoc reporting. Execute medium and high complexity data requests. Develop medium and high complexity PowerBI reporting. Develop medium and high complexity SAS programs and reports. Independent contributor to multi-person analytic teams. Work is typically directed by a direct supervisor, project, or team lead through a review of results. Make decisions on routine, medium risk issues that may affect the project team, suppliers, or internal customers. Mentor and develop the capabilities and organizational knowledge of more junior information scientists I & II. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor's, degree, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Business Management or a related field and 4 years Professional experience in supply chain industry or IT. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) SAS; (2) SQL; (3) Datawarehouse applications Snowflake and Microsoft Power BI; (4) Python; (5) Supply Chain experience with a focus on Inventory Management; (6) Project Management; and (7) Microsoft Office tools.
