As a Data Quality Transformation Director, within the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Chief Data Office (CDO), you will drive significant business impact by transforming data quality operating models. In this role, you will collaborate with business leaders and data experts to design processes that align data governance initiatives with strategic business goals. You will partner with colleagues across the Firm, utilizing industry best practices and cutting-edge technology to ensure high-quality, fit-for-purpose data supports the business's critical processes.
Job Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership, direction, and guidance for data quality projects aligned with business objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Become trusted advisor to senior leadership to define data quality goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement data quality operating models that support efficient and effective data management practices
  • Design and implement controls to prevent data quality issues, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure data is fit-for-purpose
  • Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing resources or creating new ones
  • Identify opportunities in the organization and leverage expertise, influencing skills, and the internal network to execute against them
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure data quality performance, identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Synthesize findings into impactful visualizations for consumption by senior business executives
  • Ensure data quality policies, standards, and procedures are established and maintained to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Work closely with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to promote data quality awareness and best practices
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data quality professionals in a way that promotes a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and supports their professional goals


Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • BS Degree in a STEM field and 10+ years of producing and overseeing advanced data quality/ management work to include people management and development
  • Seasoned professional with broad knowledge of data management principles, data quality tools, and technologies
  • Consultative partner-focused approach to successfully influence and drive change across the organization
  • Robust communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver recommendations in a consultative and influential manner at the executive level
  • Innovative thinker that can translate business needs into actionable data quality initiatives, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient at managing large-scale projects and initiatives, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data quality and data governance
  • Knowledgeable in the critical data management and governance standards defined by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS 239)
  • Adept at designing & documenting enterprise policies, standards & procedures to deliver on regulatory requirements


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience of the Operational Risk & Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process
  • Previous experience in a data-related business consultancy role would be a plus
