The Data Quality Sr. Analyst helps to ensure data sourced and provisioned by different areas, meets all required Data Quality standards. In this role, moderately complex and variable issues are evaluated with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. The Data Quality Sr. Analyst assesses, evaluates, and analyzes data challenges and provide recommendations on their resolution. They collaborate with an array of teams and groups, developing subject matter expertise and knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with Enterprise Chief Data Office to contribute to the development of procedure guidelines and standards addressing Data Certification and Data Quality management
- Develop methods to identify data patterns and trends in available data sources, perform data quality analytics and identify data challenges
- Contribute to Data Quality resolution strategies and practices
- Assist in data improvement initiatives in compliance with Citi Data Governance Policy
- Assists in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on issues and concerns
- Report Data Quality issues through Citi’s corresponding Data/Issue management process, and/or Coordinate efforts for Data consumption demand and Data requirement from strategic data repositories
- Liaise with other areas of the firm to understand data challenges and solutions. Supports identification of data quality rules, thresholds, and other business requirements
- Perform financial reconciliation, and measure Data Quality to drive data quality resolution
- Define and formulate business requirements documents that contribute to resolve Data Quality issues
- Lead project management activities
- Support senior management strategic vision
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs; Banking or Finance industry preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong project management skills
- Optimizes work processes by knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient in using data management and analysis tools including basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of Collibra and other Data Governance industry standard tools
- Intermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL)
- Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer, etc.)
- Demonstrated understanding of Database structures
- Proven ability to provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
- Anticipates and balances the needs of multiple stakeholders, while monitoring tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
- Communicates effectively in non-technical terms at all levels of the organization
- Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree
As a key member in Wealth Enterprise Data Office( EDO), you will drive execution of critical aspects of our data transformation, data strategy and data governance policy. As a Data quality analyst in Wealth Business, you will lead the continuous Data Quality improvement by assessing, evaluating and analyzing data, setting controls and guidelines for measurement, evaluation, adoption and communication of Data Quality and Data Quality risk. You will collaborate with data consumers to agree on the scope of critical data quality challenges and ensure that the data-operating model is implemented to reduce data risk. You will collaborate with others to monitor and remediate data concerns. Remediation of issues will include collaborating with various business and technology functions.

Team manages the implementation of best in class data quality measurement programs by applying the Data Operating Model across globe in Wealth Business. The critical areas we support:
- Data Governance: Standardization of data definitions and ensuring consistency in measurement as per definitions across systems/products/regions
- Regulatory Support: Execution of business data quality measurements as per regulatory programs like CCAR, AML, etc.
- Metadata Management: Identification of critical data elements in different systems, registration of those CDEs, data quality rules design, testing, and validation of rules
- DQ Score Cards: Publishing monthly/quarterly score cards at country level and preparing executive summary reports for senior management
- Issue Management: Identifying defects and investigating root causes for different issues. Following up with stakeholders for resolution as per SLA
- Audit Support: Identifying cases on control gaps, policy breaches and providing data evidence for audit completion
