Your Job
You will have the responsibility of creating and designing standard reporting or ad-hoc requests together with the local units and head-office. You will be able to interpret the data and advice on improvements. You will closely work with management and local reporting teams to ensure consistency, prompt implementation and increased operational excellence in their units.
As Retail Operations’ Data Quality Expert:
- You develop, monitor, maintain and continuously improve reports and standards to ensure management information reporting for Retail Operations.
- You connect to the Expert Lead or Head of Retail Operations to ensure development of relevant reporting, insights and consolidate reporting there where possible.
- You conduct data analysis and preparing reports using SQL, Macros, PowerBI, Cognos, and other tools.
- You develop and automate dashboards serving as a base for regular updates (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- You can communicate, simplify, and present complex data to various stakeholders.
- You understand how data should be transformed, loaded, and presented.
- You stimulate cross-border interaction and alignment between people, expertise teams, and Service organizations
- You contribute to the ING One Agile Way of Working and safeguard the Orange Code
- You ensure compliance with ING’s policies and standards.
You have the following experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a reporting/data analyses environment
- Relevant track record of working in financial services area and understanding of the banking operations landscape is a plus.
- Strong experience with BI Tooling (Cognos preferred) as visualization / reporting tool.
- Strong experience with Excel and VBA
And you have the following competences:
- Ability to prioritize and transform user information requirements into reports and analyses used across all countries or Retail Operations.
- You have a pro-active mindset and can-do attitude to ensure this new unit will soon prove its value.
- Ability to extract key observations from data and bring clearly across in executive messaging / reporting.
- You can work with key stakeholders and with a proven track record and credibility in achieving results.
- You are a fast learner (to understand the various data models and the requirements of the countries) and can deliver results quickly.
- Ability to work successfully with multiple countries and make sure these different cultures will work together as one team.
- Strong influencing skills to contribute to the global improvement agenda.
- Fluency in English
