The Data Quality Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data quality strategy to ensure the organisation’s data is accurate, complete, and reliable. This role will involve establishing and enforcing data quality policies, standards, and procedures while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and resolve data quality issues. The ideal candidate will have experience leading improvement initiatives, managing data quality tools, and mitigating risks, with knowledge of Monte Carlo Data considered an asset.
Please note this is hybrid position and the successful candidate is expected to work from our customer's Dublin office at least once a week.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in data quality management, data governance or a related field
- Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, methodologies and best practices
- Experience in implementing data quality policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage improvement projects
- Familiarity with data quality tools and technologies
- Knowledge of Monte Carlo Data techniques is considered an asset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and reliability
- Proactive and results-oriented approach
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Key responsibilities & duties include:
Monitoring and Reporting on Metrics
- Define and monitor key data quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of the data quality strategy
- Develop regular reports and dashboards to communicate data quality performance and compliance to stakeholders
Leadership of Improvement Initiatives
- Lead and manage data quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance data accuracy, consistency and completeness
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and build a culture of quality across the organisation
Guidance and Training on Best Practices
- Act as a subject matter expert on data quality management, providing guidance and recommendations on best practices
- Develop and deliver training sessions and resources on data quality standards and practices to stakeholders
Regular Assessments and Audits
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas of improvement
- Implement corrective actions and improvement plans based on audit findings
Compliance with Data Quality Standards
- Ensure compliance with relevant data quality standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Implement controls and processes to maintain adherence to regulatory and internal quality requirements
Data Quality Tools and Technology Management
- Manage and optimise data quality tools and technologies to automate data quality checks, monitoring, and reporting
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies to improve data quality management capabilities
Risk Identification and Mitigation
- Identify data quality risks, such as inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent data, and implement mitigation strategies
- Establish and communicate risk management frameworks to minimise the impact of data quality issues
