What you’ll do ​& Who you are

Reporting to the Head of Privacy Business Advisory & Projects, as a Business Partner you work with relevant product, engineering, business teams and other departments to facilitate business development through responsible use of data and risk balance.  

We are looking for you to join our team for this one year fixed term contract as a Privacy Advisory & Compliance Business Partner!

Please keep in mind if you apply for this role and we make an offer, it will be for a fixed term contract role, not for a freelancers contract.

What you´ll do

• Advise the business on a day-to-day basis on all privacy related matters with a focus on advertising, marketing and analytics

• Assess and document risks, suggest mitigation measures and check on correct implementation

• Handle personal data breaches and ensure their resolution, including incident response, investigation and mitigation

• Manage data subject requests (DSRs) and inquiries in close connection with the Customer Service team

• Provide support on handling regulatory claims investigation

• Lead privacy projects and provide strategic advice

• Collaborate with other teams to embed privacy considerations into the development of new products, technologies, and processes - including conducting assessments and DPIAs

• Manage records of processing activities (ROPA) and ensure adherence to privacy policies and keeping privacy notices up-to-date

• Advice on privacy aspects in contracts 

• Monitor changes in law and proactively advise on implementation in user flows, policies, procedures and contracts and training programs

• The ability to interpret complex regulations and translate these into simple and actionable steps for the business to work with;.

• Flexibility and the capacity to build relationships, learn fast and think on your feet.

Hard skills

• Business fluency in Dutch and English

• You are a Dutch qualified lawyer with a demonstrated experience in data protection, privacy and compliance roles at an international law firm or in-house

• You can plan and implement projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced business environment

• You are proficient in privacy compliance management, including the ability to identify and assess risk and implement compliance to ensure adherence to regulations

• You bring knowledge of privacy issues in the online environment, ideally in the marketplace / e-commerce or ad-tech business

• You preferably have a privacy certification such as CIPP/E/M
