Summary Generated by Built In

Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.

We’re looking for a Data Operations Associate to join Snap in our Santa Monica Headquarters! As a member of our Data Operations Group, your primary responsibility will be the manual cleansing, structuring, and enrichment of CRM data. You will work with Sales to ensure that accounts are properly maintained, assigned, updated, and organized within the CRM system. Your work will enable sales teams to effectively manage customer relationships and ensure that our data is qualified for company-wide reporting. The role involves working through multiple queues of data tasks and you will also be expected to drive forward special projects aimed at improving data quality and supporting operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate with a variety of teams, including Sales, Sales Ops, Sales Leadership, Monetization Product, and CRM Technology to structure and streamline revenue data in our CRM (Salesforce) and downstream business intelligence systems.

What you'll do:

  • CRM Data Cleansing: Review and update CRM data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness, including correcting or removing duplicate or outdated information.

  • Account Movement & Structuring: Facilitate the correct movement of accounts within the CRM, ensuring accounts are properly structured according to business rules (e.g., account hierarchy, segmentation, or assignment). This work will often require you to act as a neutral arbitrator when debate or confusion around account allocation arises.

  • Account Enrichment: Enhance CRM data by adding relevant information (e.g., contact details, firmographics, industry, etc.) through internal sources, web research, or third-party data providers. This work will often include coordinating the efforts of a contingent team.

  • Project Support: Collaborate with various stakeholders on ad-hoc projects to streamline processes, improve data quality, and support the sales team’s strategic initiatives.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, CRM Technology, IT, and other teams to address data gaps and optimize CRM utilization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest process improvements, tools, or data cleansing exercises that could enhance data operations and workflow efficiency, including automation of manual tasks.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work efficiently in a queue-based, high-volume environment with strong attention to detail while making informed decisions based on established policies.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience working with SQL, Tableau, Looker, and other reporting tools on large datasets. Expertise with Google Sheets or Excel and SQL is also highly preferred.

  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM, with a specific focus on data quality.

  • Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly.

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, and ability to partner with technical teams to drive automation projects under tight deadlines.

  • Experience working in the tech, media or digital advertising industry, with strong knowledge of the global advertising market.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in an operational role within a business context

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing, computer science, engineering or related discipline

  • Expertise with Salesforce CRM, specifically Einstein Analytics (Tableau CRM) and Sales Cloud

  • Familiarity with third-party data enrichment tools such as Data Loader, LeanData and ZoomInfo

  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising business models and key players

  • Experience supporting the data needs of a large (500-1000) sales team

  • Strong operational mindset & attention to detail; an ability to execute numerous daily tasks with consistency and rigor

  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to initiate and drive projects to completion
