Job Description:

At Regions, the Data Operations Analyst is responsible for production support of data intensive applications and processes specific to supporting multiple lines of business.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks of moderate complexity, including the monitoring and execution of production processes

  • Troubleshoots job execution issues, initiate corrective action, and escalate, if necessary

  • Communicates production cycle status to internal and external customers

  • Executes monthly test releases

  • Coordinates load and delivery of data within prescribed Service Level Agreements (SLA)

  • Performs root cause analysis and post mortems

  • Coordinates and performs system checks in support of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and system hardware and software upgrades

  • Continuous improvement including code review, scheduling, process, design & development

  • Defines and develops solutions to aid automation of current processes

  • Coordinates work effort with team members to ensure a smooth transition of production support

  • Understands business processes, participate in code reviews and integration testing

  • Builds and maintains performance metrics

  • Identifies improvement opportunities through process analysis

  • Plans and estimates work effort

  • Analyzes and solves complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations

  • Works without supervision with extensive latitude for independent judgment

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and six (6) years of experience                                                             

  • Or High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of experience 

  • Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support (rotation after hours and weekends) approximately one week per month      

Preferences                           

  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX/LINUX, TSO, Endevor and CA7

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week.  The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.  Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The location available for this role is Birmingham, AL.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

Minimum:

$98,203.05 USD

Median:

$121,620.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:
