The Role:
As a member of our Canoe Data Operations Team, the Data Operations Analyst will focus on driving subject matter expertise to the execution of new products. You will apply your expertise in private market data points to build, define, and execute product and service, while managing delivery through our onshore and offshore teams to provide accurate, timely data with broad coverage. You will also work closely with product managers to define future product roadmap. This is an exciting opportunity to work on core functionality and manage scope of offering, service delivery, and ongoing product improvements.
What You'll Do:

  • Be an SME: Become a go to individual within Canoe for data points related to underlying assets - including, but not limited to, the manipulation and enrichment of such data.
  • Advocate for Standards: Champion of best practices, perform quality checks and drive the standard of practice to ensure a culture of excellence and consistency.
  • Derive Insights: Performs analysis on data trends to inform our product and service offering.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify technology and process improvements to efficiently and effectively process data.
  • Deliver Quality: Reconcile extraction data against source documents and manage conflicting data points.


What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience working with private market data
  • Strong familiarity for asset level data points including but not limited to, cost basis, valuations and operating metrics
  • Proven experience working on complex projects within a fast-paced software development environment
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and exceptional organizational skills
  • Deadline-oriented and a proven ability to self-manage in a remote / hybrid work setting
  • Ability to balance collaboration with the team and focus on individual work
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience refining operating processes and planning product development
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncovering answers to complex product development questions
  • Working with offshore teams
