The Opportunity
As a Mastery Level Data Intelligence Consultant, you will have an opportunity join a transformational analytics team comprised of technical resources with a wealth of business knowledge. You will partner with your peers to deliver exceptional data and technology driven solutions for the Compliance and Ethics Organization. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of solving complex problems, is driven to enable users to succeed, and can build effective stakeholder relationships by leveraging their process-driven, analytical, technical, and business acumen skills.
The Team
Data Intelligence, as a part of the larger Shared Services Team, supports the Compliance and Ethics Organization. The team focuses on creating data driven intelligence to inform our internal compliance and business partners of potential risk exposures in the regulatory, industry and economic environments. We use an industry leading combination of data visualization and data analytics to blend extensive amounts of data into digestible and actionable information, giving leaders and associates information they need to make tactical and strategic decisions.
The Impact:
As a Mastery Level Data Intelligence Compliance Consultant, you will:
- Extract data from a range of data sources to conduct analysis, perform data modeling, and develop reporting to support compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
- Analyze data to deliver descriptive, diagnostic, and prescriptive analytics to stakeholders for risk mitigation and decision support.
- Identify, learn, understand, and implement new analytic concepts and data management frameworks.
- Understand the data lifecycle to help our compliance partners appreciate their data and develop actionable solutions.
- Translate complex business questions into problems that can be solved through data.
- Communicate data in a storytelling format, engaging your audience and imploring them to act.
- Ensure data is managed across multiple sources and that relationships are understood throughout a variety of uses of data.
- Build strong and enduring relationships with compliance and business partners, promoting trust and collaboration.
- Proactively partner with compliance teams to identify opportunities to strategically leverage data to enhance compliance programs and report on and mitigate risk.
- Be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, business lines, and products.
- Manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of technical/consulting skills and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a Business Analytics Certification (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years' experience communicating data to leaders.
- 3+ years' experience utilizing visualization tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, or similar Business Intelligence tools.
- Due to the nature of this position, as part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA.
Ideal Qualifications:
- BS degree in an analytical field.
- Experience applying statistics principles to business data to generate insight.
- Prior experience utilizing Python and SQL Server, Vertica, etc. in an analytics setting.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL concepts (joins, functions, stored procedures, CTEs, etc.)
- Deep desire and motivation to learn innovative technologies and ideas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understands the fundamentals of the financial services industry to make sound recommendations that may have business impacts.
- Strong written, oral, and collaborative communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work under ambiguous circumstances.

Salary Range: $113,100.00-$148,400.00
