Primary Purpose:
The Data Governance Analyst will support the day to day alignment of data usage, accuracy and guardrails across the business for Data Governance coordination & attributes, and automation. Actively engage in tasks related to data management and data standardization initiatives. Support the Data Governance Manager in implementing a corporate-wide Data Governance strategy and further Data Governance education throughout the organization.
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Mauldin, SC, Sarborough, ME, Carlisle, PA, and Quincy, MA.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support Data Governance strategy by working cross functionally with Business and Information Technology to ensure alignment and dedication to the overall objectives.
- Assist in implementing industry best practices in Data Governance, automation and Master Data Management.
- Serve as Enterprise Data Steward accountable for data definition and information quality processes for all data domains.
- Support business functional teams in implementing data policies, standards and methods that drive the quality characteristics of data.
- Partner with Information Technology on the identification and development of simplification and best practice opportunities
- Assist with testing efforts of Data Governance and Master Data Management initiatives
- Liaise with key stakeholders to gather and prioritize the strategic objectives for specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of experience in relevant field.
- Basic understanding of Data Management and/or Data Governance.
- Experience in implementing data policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of project management methodology, requirements gathering and process improvement techniques.
- Risk identification and mitigation, issue resolution and knowledge of process flows and change management.
- Strong influencing skills to educate and articulate the business value of Data.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
