Meet the team 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧

You will join the Data department organized into:

  • Data Platform team with 6 Data Engineers responsible for ingesting large amounts of data from multiple different sources, creating and maintaining a core data model which aims at making data standardized, reliable and easily available
  • Data Science and ML Platform team with 4 Data Scientists / ML Engineer working on ML-driven data products: Autobidder for User Acquisition, N-Testing for experimentation
  • An Advanced Analytics & Data Science team with 7 Data Analysts exploiting our data for:
    • Game Analytics
    • User Acquisition and Marketing Analytics
    • Market Inteligence Analytics
    • Ops Analytics

Role and Missions - What you will do 🚀

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will lead the Data Platform team which is the bedrock of all our data application (N-Testing, Autobidder, Gaming Analytics). Your target will be to make data available and safe to use to the rest of the data team and the whole company.

Working alongside our Head of Data, you will be accountable for the team performance, owner of the platform and key contributor. More concretely, your missions will be the following:

1) Owner of the Data Platform (25%)

  • Scalability, innovation and strategy:
    • Understand and challenge our current architecture, tools, and process:
    • Anticipate new and evolving requirements; develop and maintain a long-term data strategy that supports the organization’s objectives; adapt existing tools and test new tools and methods.
    • Drive innovation within the data engineering team, exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Data Quality and SLOs:
    • Ensure end-to-end ownership of the data delivered, maintaining high standards of data quality and adherence to SLOs.

2) Owner of the Team Performance (50%)

  • Understand Business Priorities and Requirements:
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align data strategies with business goals.
  • Establish Data Engineering Patterns and Best Practices:
    • Define and implement data engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Review/Mentor:
    • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Upskill the Current Team and/or Hire Engineers:
    • Identify skill gaps within the team and provide training or hire new talent to fill these gaps.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  • Ensure a Good Balance Between Delivery and Learning:
    • Promote an environment that balances project delivery with ongoing learning and development.

3) Contributor (25%)

  • Contributor on One Domain:
    • Actively participate in projects, contributing technical expertise to a specific domain or initiative.
Requirements

Having a strong experience in Data Engineering, you want to join a diverse team composed of mobile gaming enthusiasts. If you recognize yourself in the following description, you're the one!

  • Hands on experience with the modern data stack and outside of the modern data stack (e.g. Spark, Streaming, serving data through APIs)
  • Hands on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a data engineering team.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills allowing you to work with a wide variety of stakeholders (Product, Business, Tech, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to face your daily challenges
  • Fluent in English
