The Engineering Hub Function leads technical cross-functional activities from the entire "Woven City" perspective. It creates policies and supports service development from quality management.
Our team, as one of sub-Function of Engineering Hub, supports resolving issues related to privacy risk with agility in inventor’s projects so that they can start their projects without privacy related problems. We also consult with privacy risk experts, and provide the best way to apply privacy-related laws/regulation and our internal regulations into each project. We manage privacy risk assessment processes to check each project efficiently as a gate process. In order to achieve these tasks, we communicate smoothly with project teams, other risk management teams, experts, engineers, etc. As we are involved in the review of a wide variety of projects, we take on the challenge of privacy risk cases of diverse industries. If a privacy risk issue occurred in a project, it will result in a loss of customer trust and have a major impact on the company. That’s why this work is the most important strategic component and essential for a company to succeed the projects. This is very unique and valuable opportunity for those who are interested in expanding their career in data governance or data compliance field.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced project manager of privacy risk assessment who is always trying to improve the process so that inventors can quickly test the future normality in the Woven City, and who can identify issues and take action to solve them proactively.
In order to test each of the Inventor services in our Woven City safely, it is essential to assess privacy risk. However, as enormous services will be tested in Woven City in the short term, an agile and effective privacy risk assessment is required. For this reason, the ability to manage assessment progress and the ability to consider the efficiency of the process are necessary.
In addition, it is necessary to have a mind to consider the best strategy for implementing privacy-related internal regulations from the perspective of the project team, so as not to compromise the value of the service or the speed of development, and to implement it, and to strongly lead and promote the relevant members.
Your contributions will span the entire product design lifecycle, from conception to design, production and maintenance. You will direct compliance testing, risk assessment, and international certification activities for the launch of Woven City in Japan and lay the foundation for global expansion.
This position will report to Data Compliance Group Manager of Regulatory Compliance, Engineering Hub.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage privacy risk assessment schedule of multiple services and support each project team to complete privacy risk assessment along with expected timeline
- As the first point of contact for any privacy-related issues that the project may have, you should work to resolve them, and if they are organizational issues, you should try to come up with a solution and deal with it
- Summarize decisions related to privacy risk into process/guidance/standard/policies, and contribute to the development of more efficient services for inventors and improve the documents
- Gather information about latest law/regulation/guidance related to privacy risk, and cases of the other companies. And support to train privacy risk information to internal stakeholders with privacy expert team.
- Promote problem solving in cross-functional task force teams and lead the team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years of experience in Project Management (or related experience)
- At least business level English skill (Speaking/Reading/Writing) and fluent in Japanese
- Cross-functional communication skill
- Have experience about leading team to resolve tasks/issues or improve processes for the future
- Proactive thinking and ability to drive business processes
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing environments
- An attitude of being open-minded, receptive to feedback, and motivated to grow
- An attitude that prioritizes teamwork and collaborates with colleagues in development tasks to devise optimal solutions
NICE TO HAVES
- Qualifications for laws and regulations related to Privacy risk(In particular, “Act on Protection of Personal Information”)
- Experience in understanding and implementing industry standards for risk assessment and functional safety, such as ISO series
- Basic IT knowledge
