SQA Services is a global quality assurance consulting firm that serves Fortune 500 companies in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, medical device, and semiconductor industries. We are seeking a skilled Excel and Power BI Expert to leverage data analysis and visualization tools for insightful reporting, efficient data management, and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is an advanced user of Excel and Power BI, with deep expertise in pivot tables, data modeling, and dashboard creation. You’ll be responsible for transforming complex data sets into actionable insights, creating streamlined reporting processes, and enabling data-driven decisions across the organization. This is a one year contract on part time hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Management
- Perform advanced data analysis using Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF(S), and complex formulas.
- Create, organize, and clean large data sets to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Utilize Excel Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
- Pivot Table Expertise
- Design and implement complex pivot tables to analyze and summarize data.
- Use calculated fields and items within pivot tables for dynamic reporting.
- Train and support team members in pivot table use and best practices.
- Power BI Reporting and Visualization
- Build interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards for data visualization and trend analysis.
- Connect, model, and transform raw data from multiple sources using Power BI.
- Create calculated columns and measures using DAX for enhanced data insights.
- Data-Driven Insights and Automation
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within Excel and Power BI to improve efficiency.
- Interpret data results to provide actionable insights and support decision-making across departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and ensure data visualizations align with business goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics) or equivalent work experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA (a plus).
- Strong proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation, DAX functions, and data modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Must undergo and pass a background check
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Excel or Power BI preferred
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience working in a consulting or support role for data-driven initiatives preferred
