Data Analyst at Johnson Controls, you will be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making within the organization. Leveraging your analytical skills and expertise in data management, you will transform complex data into clear insights that drive business strategy and operational efficiency. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data availability, quality, and insight generation, ultimately supporting the company’s objectives and fostering a culture of data-driven excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Preparation: Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of data from various databases and sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical techniques and analytical tools to explore data patterns and generate actionable insights, identifying trends, anomalies, and predictive behaviors relevant to business operations.
- Collaboration: Partner with business units to understand their analytical needs, providing tailored data analysis and support that aligns with their strategic goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to enhance data collection processes, improve data quality, and implement best practices in data management and analytics.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related domain, with a proven track record of delivering insights that drive business outcomes.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation, along with experience in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis. Snowflake platform experience is required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a strong ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
- Experience in statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling is highly desirable.
