The pay range is $68,800.00 - $123,800.00

As an Data Analyst, you will support business decision-making by using data to identify trends, solve problems, and uncover growth opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, apply data analysis techniques, and help translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. You will partner with a Lead Analyst for ongoing mentorship and guidance, helping you build both your business and analytical skills. In this role, curiosity, problem-solving ability, a strong business mindset, and foundational technical skills are equally important to succeed. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable asking questions when needed, and excited to simplify complex information for business partners. A basic understanding of data tools (such as Excel, SQL, or visualization platforms) is helpful, combined with a passion for solving business challenges through data. About you:

Four-year degree or equivalent experience
-
1+ year as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field or business analysis, market research, operations analysis, or financial modeling.

Intermediate SQL experience writing complex queries
-
Solid problem solving, analytical skills, data curiosity, data mining, Data creation and consolidation
-
Support conclusions with a clear, understandable story that leverages descriptive statistics, basic inferential statistics, and data visualizations
-
Willingness to ask questions about business objectives and the measurement needs for a project workstream, and be able to measure objectives & key results
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and translate ideas between them

Knowledge of AB Testing methods, time series, S&OP planning, Forecasting models including statistical analysis
-
Experience in analytics tools such as: SQL, Excel, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, R, Domo, Adobe Analytics (or Google Analytics) and/or equivalent technologies
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
