Reporting to the Head of Data Science & Analytics, the Data Analyst plays a critical role in giving our care teams and the business reliable, consistent answers. They will be responsible for delivering well-defined, tested, and documented business intelligence tools that will allow users to do their own analysis. We are looking for someone who is excited to work at a tech startup and use their data abilities to make a lasting impact in peoples’ lives.
Responsibilities:
- Develops customized, dynamic, and aesthetically-pleasing on-line reports and dashboards in Sigma
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and consistency of information
- Work directly with leadership and their teams, helping them leverage data and technology to maximize business impact
- Write queries to pull/summarize/analyze data primarily from BigQuery data sets
- Document data sources, data models, and reporting procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
- Proficient in business intelligence tools
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience working with analytical datasets and data warehouses
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Experience in healthcare or health insurance data analysis
- Experience with BigQuery
- Experience with Sigma
- Certification in data visualization, UI/UX, or graphic design
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment
