About the Opportunity:
We are a leading mortgage servicing, SaaS-based, financial technology company committed to innovation and excellence.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic Technology department as a Data Services Analyst at the Specialist level.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong background in data analysis and database management to contribute to critical projects that drive the company's success.
Your day-to-day at Sagent:
Data Analysis:
- Develop and conduct data analysis to support evaluation, research, assessment, strategic planning, and management decisions.
- Apply a theoretical knowledge base to achieve goals through individual work.
Database Design and Implementation:
- Analyze, design, create, and implement databases, including data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas, access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization, and security.
- Develop and implement database recovery plans and procedures.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop and implement database analysis and development policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide guidance to others as an individual contributor, project manager, or lead using technical expertise.
Collaboration and Vendor Interaction:
- Collaborate with database software vendors and external technical support on issues such as software upgrades, problems, and potential solutions.
- Engage in effective communication with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless database operations.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Two years of college in a relevant discipline +4 years of experience in a related field OR Four-year college degree completed in a relevant discipline +2 years of experience in a related field OR Completion of an advanced degree (masters or higher) in an applicable and relevant field or experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven expertise in data analysis and database management.
- Strong theoretical knowledge applied to achieve goals through individual work.
- Specific functional expertise gained through formal education and experience.
- Ability to provide guidance to others in project management or technical expertise.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing databases, data models, and recovery plans.
- Knowledge of database analysis and development policies, standards, and procedures.
- Effective collaboration with database software vendors and external technical support.
- 1+ years of experience as a data analyst, developer, data warehouse consumer and / or data related operations
- 1+ Years of working experience or exposure to GCP or any other Cloud development and deployment practices.
- Hands-On, working knowledge of .Net, Java and SQL language, (i.e. T-SQL (Microsoft)
- Mid-level to expert knowledge in data integration concepts, source-to-target mapping techniques and requirements documentation for ETL team to follow
- Experience in interviewing business partners, setting and managing expectations in relation to deliverables and requirements
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and software project life cycle and associated methodologies.
- Experience with standard systems analysis tools and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish deep understanding of clients business issues.
Preferred
- Any experience in Mortgage and/or financial industry is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Big Data concepts in organizing both structured and unstructured data is a big plus
