Why Is This Role Is Important To Arcadia

 

The Data Analyst position is a critical role for Arcadia’s strategic expansion within the Life Sciences Division. This deeply technical role requires an individual with expertise in the life sciences sector, specifically with a sophisticated understanding of pharmaceutical use cases and extensive experience in working with, and analyzing, electronic medical record data, claims data, and lab data.


In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex data analysis that uncovers trends, drives strategic decisions, and supports our growth in strategic partnerships. Your ability to think analytically and creatively will be crucial in developing innovative approaches to analyzing Arcadia’s data. You will work closely with the Strategic Partnerships and Strategy team, providing the data-driven backbone for evaluating and enhancing our current partnerships and growing new business.


The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills in data analysis and must demonstrate:

- Expertise in electronic medical record and claims data: Deep knowledge of navigating, processing, and extracting valuable insights from multiple sources of healthcare data

- Advanced analytical capabilities: Ability to perform sophisticated data analysis including running data counts, predictive modeling, and statistical testing to drive business insights and decisions

What Success Looks Like

In 3 months

- Develop a comprehensive foundation of Arcadia's data products and establish a strong understanding of Arcadia’s value proposition in life sciences

- Become expert in Arcadia’s de-identified dataset and adept at executing analyses and navigating its complexities, including analysis on coverage across various therapeutic areas and geographies

- Forge strong connections with key members across the life sciences functions, understanding their strategic priorities and identifying opportunities for impactful collaboration.

- Become proficient in conducting feasibility analyses for potential partners


In 6 months

- Engage in more complex analytical tasks, developing and deploying dashboards and reports that succinctly and effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders.

- Enhance and maintain rigorous processes for evaluating and manipulating data to ensure the highest standards of data quality and integrity

- Actively participate in partnership discussions, contributing expert insights to assess the - - Become fully integrated with the life sciences team, providing regular, proactive updates and communicating strategic insights that drive decision-making processes


In 9 to 12 months

- Establish yourself as the recognized expert on Arcadia’s de-identified dataset across the organization, acknowledged by leadership for your deep knowledge and strategic use of data

- Refine analytical processes and methods, and take a leadership role in educating and supporting the team on advanced analytical approaches and techniques

- Surpass objectives by providing high-impact, data-driven insights for various use cases across multiple parts of the organization, demonstrating the value and versatility of your analytical contributions

- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Arcadia remains at the forefront of data analytics in the healthcare industry

What You'll Be Doing

  • Become the expert on Arcadia’s de-identified data product, delivering insights and support to enhance strategic initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and guide future product development
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, to understand business needs, and determine the right methodology for analysis and assumptions to provide data-driven insights into program performance and partnerships
  • Develop sophisticated queries and reports to extract and manipulate data, including detailed feasibility studies for life sciences use cases from key partners or potential new projects
  • Craft and refine advanced dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to clearly articulate analytical findings
  • Analyze data findings and effectively communicate insights, recommendations, and methodologies and engage with internal teams to dissect and interpret trends and patterns from analyses
  • Maintain strict data quality and integrity through meticulous validation and systematic cleaning processes; ensure personal accountability for the accuracy, completeness, quality, and relevance of all deliverables.
  • Adhere to industry best practices in coding, documentation, and commenting to ensure the longevity, reusability, and scalability of analytical solutions.
  • Keep pace with advancements in data analytics, adopting new methodologies and technologies to maintain competitive edge

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis with in-depth knowledge of the life sciences market, including deep experience working with real-world data (RWD) across data sources: EMR, claims, labs, etc
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategies and deliver on ambitious goals
  • Independence and comfort operating in dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a track record of achieving or surpassing performance goals

Would Love For You To Have

  • A strong aptitude for story telling through the analysis of data
  • Possess advanced skills in MS Excel, including the creation of pivot tables, the use of macros, and proficiency with V/H lookups and VBA programming
  • Familiar with relational database structures, theories, and practices, including a solid understanding of data models and data modeling techniques
  • Proficient understanding of HIPAA compliance, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and the applications of real world data broadly
  • Team-oriented attitude and the ability to foster a collaborative atmosphere within each project team; ability to work effectively with remote teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently prioritizing urgency and excellence through continuous improvement
