VAI is currently hiring a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for the support of the Institute’s cybersecurity program where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze cybersecurity strategies, improve defenses, and ensure the performance of cybersecurity solutions.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead or participate in the development, design, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s security technology, systems and information assets to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of the organizational assets; evaluate and oversee potential security risks and work with internal IT teams, external vendors and cross-functional institution partners as necessary.

Develop, implement and/or maintain a centralized Threat Intelligence, Data Loss Prevention and Monitoring system, an Incident Response system and playbooks to include forensics to safeguard information; coordinate with various IT and institution areas accordingly.

Perform regular security risk assessments, security scans, penetration testing audits, and monitoring.

Monitor security systems and logs for threats and anomalies.

Respond to security incidents and provide forensics investigations.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
You should possess the following characteristics/traits:

Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to organize and facilitate meetings along with being customer service oriented.
Required experience/skills:
-
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university with a major in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another technical field, and previous IT technical background as network/systems engineer or similar position.

Must have at least three of experience working in a cybersecurity related position.

Possess relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).

Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as NIST-CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, and COBIT.

Familiar with Azure Security and best practices.
