Seneca Global Services, LLC is seeking a Cyber Operations Engineer in Canberra, Australia. The objective of this work is to support a dynamic, cutting-edge DoD acquisition program in Canberra Australia. This position will serve as the cyber operations subject matter expert for IT administration and program platform management & content management services at all supported classifications. The ideal candidate for this role must be comfortable working in a transparent, collaborative team environment and possess outstanding communication, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring the health of individual applications within the program system, including VMware vCenter, NetApp, RedHat OpenShift Container Platform, & RedHat Identity Manager.
  • Remediate issues on individual applications within the PCTE system based on program manager guidance.
  • Collaborate with the program Development team with installation and modification of software on production systems.
  • Collaborate with the development of Operations team SOPs and documentation.
  • Lead and/or assist in establishing & managing external stakeholder’s relationships and connections to program systems.
  • Monitor and replace, when necessary, RAM memory and power supply of onsite small-footprint hardware such as RAM memory and power supplies.
  • Facilitation of physical transfer of training content to and from onsite program systems (downloads, shipping of physical media, & uploads).
  • Coordination with onsite facility, program and other staff on upcoming software release.
  • Facility scheduled maintenance or other system downtime-including events.
  • Provide technical or logistical support for onsite program/system training events.
  • Assist program operations, and cyber security teams in the conduct of their primary support requirements.

Basic Requirements:

  • Active SECRET security clearance and be immediately eligible for nomination to receive TS/Special Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, engineering, or other relevant field from an accredited college/university; 5-10 years of experience may be used as a substitute for education
  • 8+ years in IT, Cyber Operations, and/or Engineering

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Security Engineering 
  • Cyber Security certifications a plus
