The Leidos National Security Sector currently has an opening for a Cyber Network Engineer located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) VA.
This position is part of a large Military Intelligence Program supporting the USAF Air Combat Command’s (ACC) ISR mission. Opportunities for technical skill development, career advancement and internal position mobility are available.
Cyber Network Engineer will provide technical subject matter regarding the maintenance, configuration, deployment, and design of load balancing solutions for VxRail virtual systems environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and configure OSs to include Unbuntu, VMware Photon, Dell OS, RHEL, Isilon – OneFS.
- Develop, test, and manage APIs for VxRail systems and VMs.
- Integrate and monitor load balancing and API solutions with VxRail systems and VMs, Redhat, Microsoft, and ArcGIS applications and services.
- Actively use VMware, VMware VCenter server appliance, EMC Avamar, vRealize, vSphere Virtualization, Cloud Load Balancing, Dell EMC VxRail Appliance Deployment and other technologies to perform these and potentially other functions.
- Ensure data protection and security by implementing encryption, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and logging related policies
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting;
- Implement and actively practice configuration and inventory management procedures;
- Conduct test and validation; and research
- Evaluate new technologies and solutions related to load balancing and API development and management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 10 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification (equivalent experience may be accepted) and 5 years of experience in VxRail systems engineering, administration, or support is required.
- Knowledge and experience with networking, storage, backup, and security concepts and protocols and scripting and automation tools and languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible;
- Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills and working independently in time-constrained situations.
- Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance or have current SCI eligibility within DISS

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
