The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos has an opening for a Cyber Engineer in Reston, Virginia to support a fast-paced team working on projects critical to National Security. The primary focus of the group is reverse engineering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related installations. Candidate must bring a creative, yet sound, approach to identifying and solving challenges, and have exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness. The successful candidate will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team of government and contractor personnel. Work will be performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a government facility.
Role and Responsibility:
The candidate shall perform the following as part of a larger team:
- Vulnerability research and analysis, reversing engineering threats to determine methods of exploitation, malware research, researching innovative tools and techniques, and manipulating code execution
- Securing development environments and software through application security architecture software evaluations, web application vulnerability assessment penetration testing and fuzzing, malware research and vulnerability mitigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully brief and interact with personnel at all levels of experience, including Senior Officials
Requirements and Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required
- Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearance
- Relevant Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in a technical domain
- Experience in lieu of degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with building control or industrial control systems (BCS/ICS)
- Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of WMD materials, production, storage and use

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
