ROLE SUMMARY
Plan and execute demand and supply strategies and tactics in partnership with commercial team. Leverage digital technologies to perform thorough data analysis to provide value to the business and support commercial strategies. Responsible for demand forecasting, leading S&OP process, managing new product launches, product change management, inventory planning, supply assurance in collaboration with the Market Planning Hub and special project management. The role requires a strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams, proactive problem identification and resolution, issue escalation to regional and/or global teams and effective communication and management of issues and recovery plans to key stakeholders.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for portfolio of products with moderate to advanced complexity of lifecycle activity:
- Generate demand forecast for assigned product portfolio using commercial insights, over multiple time horizons.
- Provide market insights for statistical forecast modeling to automate demand planning where possible in collaboration with Global Demand Intelligence team.
- Conduct monthly brand forecast review meetings to assess accuracy and adjust plans based on root causes of forecast variances.
- Partner with commercial and finance teams to align unit and financial forecasts and ensure clear rationalization for gaps.
- Partner with the Market Planning Hub to ensure continuous supply and manage supply issues and communicate recovery plans to internal and external stakeholders.
- Co-lead local S&OP process for medium to large size markets with medium to advanced portfolio complexity with cross-functional team participation to ensure mutual accountability, visibility and alignment on key decisions to ensure supply continuity
- Deliver continuous improvement of demand planning/S&OP processes
- Leverage digital technologies to create value for stakeholders
- Monitor performance against KPIs (Forecast Error/Bias, Inventory $/MOH, write-offs, statistical forecast adherence, etc)
- Responsible for inventory deployment/optimization to ensure high service levels.
- Supports new product introduction activities as required.
- Monitor and evaluate inventory levels, sales performance, and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage obsolescence risks and identify mitigation plans in alignment with commercial.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-10 years of experience. Relevant experience in supply / demand planning
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business
- Good understanding of Supply Chain E2E processes and ability to apply supply chain concepts in day-to-day operations
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics systems (i.e. ERP/MRP, Forecasting, Distribution etc.)
- Experience identifying improvements/opportunities for cost reduction within the supply chain
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional team projects.
- Experienced with digital tools (e.g. Tableau).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to connect financial targets to Supply Chain KPIs
- Relevant experience within Pharmaceutical Industry and/or other manufacturing industries
- Statistical Forecasting
- Experience driving difficult conversations with management level stakeholders
