The Custody business is supporting a fast-paced agenda to enhance client experience. This requires assimilating a large number of ideas generated at all levels (primarily by Operations & Product Development) into a structured framework. The right amount of rigor in documenting & governing initiatives is important to enable targeted, strategic decision making.
As a Custody Operations - Data Automation - Senior Associate in the Change, Execution and Transformation Team within the Custody Operations organization you will be expected to lead high-impact initiatives ranging from People, Process and Technology with senior leadership visibility. These programs will typically be cross-organizational, providing the opportunities to work with various stakeholders across Operations, Product, AI Research and Technology. You will be required to identify opportunities for large impact transformation using a data driven approach, leverage intelligent tools like Alteryx, UiPath, Tableau, etc. and lead programs that will deliver on a target state vision to increase operational automation and efficiency. You will be asked to lead work streams/projects across the business, from assessment through articulation of recommendations and execution.
Job responsibilities

  • Supports intake of Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects; develops and supports a prioritization framework and facilitate the process to engage with internal and external solution providers
  • Expands the adoption of AI across the department by enhancing and promoting the support infrastructure (e.g., use case repository, component library) for all department-wide AI efforts
  • Assists in maintaining the department-wide AI book of work and develop and expand on associated reporting and key success metrics
  • Ensures clear scope, roles & responsibilities, and governance exists for all engagements with the firmwide AI/ML teams with ongoing visibility into their progress and status
  • Supports the development and coordination of the firmwide AI/ML acceleration strategy and ensure coordination across development efforts that enable AI / ML across LOBs and functions (e.g., data, platform, modelling)
  • Manages and execute complex projects and ensure that project deliverables are met with the appropriate due diligence and system integration relating to Custody Operations; this includes collating requirements, writing BRDs, management updates etc
  • Works with a team of stakeholders across multiple groups including the front office, product development, middle office, core operations, technology, finance, and work closely with global partners on initiatives
  • Supports other projects like New Business Growth, CTS computations, Run The Bank (RTB) projects, process reengineering, location strategy, IAS charter activities and managing production issues


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Custody product & process knowledge and experience in developing AI/ML projects
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence/Machine learning tech stack (e.g., Hadoop, OmniAI, Ninja, Thanos)
  • Familiarity with intelligent tools like Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath, etc.
  • Conceptual knowledge of coding languages (e.g., Python, C++, SQL) and algorithms (e.g., NLP, time series analysis)
  • A track record of involvement in change programs, implementing new business processes and controls
  • Strong verbal and written communication and ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
  • Strong understanding of the trade transaction lifecycle, cash management, FX and Asset Servicing


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Custody Operations, Client Service or Middle Office experience
  • Prior experience participating in strategic change initiatives
  • Prior experience for implementing projects leveraging AI/ML, LLM or Blockchain technology
