An excellent opportunity has arisen at the Associate 1 level within Accountant in Custody Department , which involves carrying out a high risk function within the operation. The successful candidate’s responsibilities primarily include the timely and accurate processing specific activities performed in the areas of Custody Department . The Custody Department acts as the main point of contact for all other supporting functions and is responsible for analyzing information, monitoring and resolving queries received from external parties.

Role Purpose:

An excellent opportunity has arisen at the Associate 1 level within Corporate Actions which involves carrying out a high risk function within the operation. The successful candidate’s responsibilities primarily include accounting transactions in Investment Books of Records (IBOR) for respective allotted clients for Global market events within a Middle Office environment. This will also involve working closely with Global (Sub) Custodians around the entitlement confirmation process on behalf of a diverse client base.

Accountant in Custody Department is responsible for the correct and timely processing of specific activities performed in the areas of Custody:
- Cash Management services such as (Cash Investigations-Reconciliations-Transactions’ processing and Risk Queue Monitoring)
- Trades’ processing  

The role will involve a significant amount of contact with internal and external entities (i.e. brokers in some cases) and other groups within State Street. 
The Accountant in Custody Department is a main point of contact for all other supporting functions and is responsible for analyzing information, monitoring and resolving queries received from external parties.
•    Demonstrating timely and accurate processing at all times in accordance with Fund/internal and external clients deadlines, operating procedures and legal regulations.
•    Engaging in building an effective working relationship with internal and external clients.
•    Supporting day to day running of the team.
•    Involvement in departmental ad-hoc projects.
•    Involvement in the training and development of other team members if necessary.
•    Preparation of various weekly and monthly reports for management review. Compiling and categorizing data used for monthly operational metrics.
•    Making recommendations for changes to processes and procedures and preparing documentation for review as required.
•    Undertaking appropriate housekeeping duties e.g. filing, archiving, carrying out a clean desk policy.
•    Taking responsibility for personal development and training.
