General Responsibilities
•    Oversees technical leadership within a cross functional team 
•    Advises customer technical and project personnel
•    Handles both external and internal stakeholder requirements for new products / features / technology developments
•    Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses 
•    Leads system specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to develop systems that meet customer needs
•    Systems Architecture development with roadmaps to increase feature sets, reduce cost, pursue integration opportunities and increase quality
•    Advises internal Sensata sub system design teams to refine implementation of products / features / technologies & specifications to ensure they meet stakeholder’s needs
•    Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelor's degree) with at least 10 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 14 or more years.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Additional Job Description

ROLE SPECIFIC

    • Leadership of a cross-functional engineering team to execute development activities according to agreed development processes. 
    • Collaboration with Application and Platform Development teams to integrate products into customer-focused solutions.
    • Ensure that the team are suitably organized and have capacity to deliver quality solutions to time and quality targets.
    • Provide guidance and facilitate the team to address challenges and issues as they arise.
    • Communication of project status to internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Collaborating with Functional Team Managers to support training and personal development of team members. 
    • Support preparation of technical offering and development quotes for new business opportunities. 
    • Review and reporting of Systems Development KPIs. 

ROLE GENERIC

    • Establish department and team performance measures and KPI’s that improve effectiveness and meet goals and customer commitments on time to the required specification.
    • Regularly report on Team performance.
    • Develop and manage budgets.
    • Facilitate team building, motivation, morale and employee commitment.
    • Performance manage the department, providing leadership and guidance to team leaders.
    • Ensure adequate technical support and training and development plans are in place and review regularly.
    • Ensure effective team working, continuous process improvements, information and planning systems.
    • Lead by example and manage the overall implementation and maintenance of all operational procedures.

GENERAL

    • Demonstrate and promote Sensata’s values in behaviours and actions.
    • Produce and promote the highest standard of work possible in accordance with the company’s IATF16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, Sarbanes Oxley, Lean / 6s standards and any other standards that the company adheres to.
    • Work as a member of a team helping to implement, carry out and drive compliance of all company working practices and Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
    • Comply with all Sarbox controls throughout the organisation and understand and meet the key controls that are directly related to your day to day functions
    • Develop, review, update, manage and ensure compliance with Sarbox documentation.
    • Address and report all remediation action and co-operate with all Sarbox auditing activities.

Carry out any other function necessary for the smooth running of the Department.
