We are seeking a talented and experienced Credit Risk Transformation Software Developer to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about coding, have a strong background in Java and Python, and possess a keen understanding of finance, data science, and enterprise workflow development, we would love to hear from you. As a Credit Risk & Business Transformation Developer, you will lead the planning, management, development and delivery of global projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various functional groups to define and document business requirements.
Job responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications with a focus on credit risk and business transformation.
• Build and optimize enterprise workflow applications to streamline business processes.
• Develop and integrate APIs using Java/Python to enhance application functionality and interoperability.
• Build workflows as a Citizen Developer, leveraging low-code/no-code platforms to create efficient and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Implement and manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
• Apply data science techniques to analyze and interpret complex data sets, providing actionable insights.
• Utilize Python libraries such as Streamlit, Seaborn, pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn for data visualization, manipulation, and application development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Provide regular updates on project status to management and stakeholders. Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
• Analyze process flows, identify areas for process improvement, and document best practices to manage continuous improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development and Data Science.
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining enterprise workflow applications.
• Extensive experience with API development and integration using Java.
• Strong understanding of data science principles and techniques.
• Solid knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL).
• Experience with Python libraries such as Streamlit, Seaborn, pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Expertise in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation. Experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn is highly desirable. Proven experience in Python development, including writing and maintaining code, debugging, and implementing best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with tools like Alteryx for data blending and advanced analytics, and Tableau for data visualization and dashboard creation is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CFA, FRM) are a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Python/Java development, including writing and maintaining code, debugging, and implementing best practices.
