Job Description

As a Production Designer in our Creative Department, you will be asked to energetically deploy your proven understanding of design and other communication media to develop and execute visually appealing and motivating creative assets. Working under the direction of our creative partners and Director of Production Design, your ability to understand the creative strategy for each assignment and execute with precision in a manner that fulfills the assignments' goals will be critical. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate proficiency of required software design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and PowerPoint) to lay out and design small and/or complex aspects of client assignments. Assignments may include preliminary drafts of elements developed from art direction, key visuals, existing assets, etc.
- Independently execute accurate dielines and renderings of visually appealing and motivating layouts across a variety of elements and channel executions.
- Handle assignments with speed, accuracy, and efficiency, and make unsupervised design choices and recommendations based on provided direction. Will be required to work on multiple projects across multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Ensure approved layouts conform to brand guidelines and that internal deadlines and approval procedures are met for assigned project phases. Help develop tools and recommendations to improve current processes that impact client deliverables. Must have a scrupulous eye for detail: making corrections and improvements to final executions in typography, color management, asset/image management, file prep, etc.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of client’s business. Expand personal knowledge of industry, workflow management techniques, and current production techniques, including production art best practices.
- Work in various presentation programs (PowerPoint and Keynote) to help Account, Strategy, and Creative teams to develop Client presentations that incorporate Strategy and Creative seamlessly. Working closely with these teams to design templates and flow in content. Manage work product from inception to final delivery for Client meeting. Understanding the various aspects of presentation development and maintain ongoing training to enhance skills.
- Approach each assignment with a positive attitude, collaborative spirit, curiosity, and the highest level of craftsmanship.
- Collaborate enthusiastically with creative resource management, creative, account, production, and project management teams with a goal of solving challenges across clients and the agency. Maintain a level of flexibility to support a variety of accounts.
- Increase understanding and awareness of best practices through ongoing training and supplementary educational activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with professional knowledge of graphic design or related field.
- 3-5 years on the job experience necessary with a proven understanding of internal standards, production techniques, tools and project scope.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of file prep for final release of keylines, HiRes asset/image management, package and delivery.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to effectively exchange important information with internal team, manage workflow, and recommend improvements to existing processes that influence client relations.
- Demonstrate analytical skills necessary to evaluate project scope and timelines.
- Effecitvely and efficiently navigate Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and PowerPoint
- Curiosity, drive and dedication to continuously expand or hone skills that include but are not limited to motion graphics, e-comm platforms, drawing skills, sketch up abilities, publication, etc.
