As Course Leader of the Post Graduate Courses in the Fashion Business Area you will be responsible for ensuring the teaching of the assigned lessons according to the scheme shared by the academic department and the Director of Education.
You will also responsible for ensuring the development and management of the assigned teaching courses, in particular the Master in Fashion & Luxury Brand Management, according to the prescribed scientific and quality standards, guaranteeing compliance with CAA requirements.
In coordination with the Director of Education you collaborate in the proper management of the assigned courses, contributing to achieving the expected scientific standards and quality/accreditation requirements.
You collaborate with the Director of Education in the management activities of programmes and faculty for the assigned courses (such as industry projects management, students advising activities, scouting for new tutors, evaluation of transfer students credentials).
You collaborate with the Director of Education to ensure the quality of the students' learning experience through monitoring and tutoring activities.
You develop your curriculum vitae according to the standards set by the local regulations and contribute to the research strategy of the School.

Key purpose of the job
Teaching and Courses Management - Guarantee the teaching of the assigned courses for BA, MA and Training courses. Coordinate the Post-Graduate programs (Master degree courses, Professional courses) in the assigned teaching area: taking care of the development of the training courses, their quality, the compilation of the necessary academic documentation; supervising the academic and scientific results according to the standards laid down by the CAA regulations. Actively support the Director of Education in maintaining the accreditation requirements and achieving the educational targets set at corporate level. Collaborate with the academic department in the construction and design of courses.
Faculty Management Support - Be the contact person for the faculty of the assigned teaching area. Monitor their academic activities both in terms of teaching quality standards and in terms of active support for the student teaching experience. Ensure that the faculty meets the quality requirements laid down at company level. Be responsible for the scientific development of the CVs of the assigned lecturers according to the standards laid down in the CAA regulations. Support the Director of Education in the identification and training of new lecturers.
Students' Tutoring & Supervisioning — Be the contact person for students on assigned courses, support them directly in their training and encourages their successful completion (progression rate). Ensure weekly one-to-one interviews in order to provide continuous tutoring and supervision to the student. Contribute to the student's positive learning experience through his activities. Supervises assigned students in their thesis activities. Ensure the compilation of the student voice according to set targets.
Academic & Industry Projects — Actively support in the identification and management of academic projects in collaboration with leading luxury industries (fashion, design, art) and top design studios Ensure the full implementation of projects at the academic level through the involvement of faculty and students. Be present at moments of promotion of the school (e.g. open days, admission activities, career service activities) and collaboration with partner companies.
R&D Activities —Spread research culture among faculties by involving them in the School’s research strategy. Integrate research projects in the curriculum in line with Istituto Marangoni’s mission and positioning and in line with the industry needs. Contribute with n. 2 research papers to the research strategy of Istituto Marangoni Dubai
Educational and Professional Requirements

PHD in the area of expertise is a compulsory requirement.

Min. 3 years of experience as teacher in an International Institution (min. University Level);

Strong international experience in fashion and luxury brand management;

Relevant teaching experience students from a wide variety of age groups and skill levels (undergraduate level, postgraduate level);

Relevant experience with creating educational materials and extracurricular activities to challenge students and meet curriculum objectives;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well critical-thinking skills;

Excellent research skills, pursuing research activities, embracing a research-oriented approach to teaching

Strong relationship-building skills to build networks and solid connections with the luxury (fashion or design) industry.
