  • Manage all aspects of employment-related disputes, pre-litigation demands, administrative charges, and employee litigation (including drafting position statements and attending mediations), and developing strategies to resolve them
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of scalable and compliant policies and practices to drive compliance with all applicable employment laws
  • Oversee and/or conduct internal investigations of employee relations matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies including employee handbooks and related policies, offer letters, severance agreements, and bonus compensation plans
  • Provide practical day-to-day advice on employment matters affecting the employee population in our stores, distribution center, and corporate offices

Regulatory

  • Implement internal processes and practices to support ESG-related governance requirements and meet third-party assurance and verification requirements

General

  • Build and deliver internal training programs relevant to the above matters
  • Audit business practices to develop and implement policies and procedures to continuously improve compliance and mitigate product/supply chain risks and employment-related risks
  • Monitor, research, and provide proactive guidance to cross-functional partners on developments in ESG regulations, product regulations, supply chain-related regulations, employment laws, and related best practices at the local, state, and federal levels and key international markets
  • Ability to partner and manage outside counsel

Required Qualifications

  • JD with at least 5 years’ of professional experience practicing employment law
