Why this job’s a big deal:

You will support the Senior Managing Counsel, Commercial and Compliance by providing legal support to Priceline’s Partner Solutions (“PPS”) division. This role will provide you with the opportunity to serve as a key point of legal contact for the PPS division, and gain experience working closely with legal, commercial and technical stakeholders to drive forward innovative business solutions and create strong partnerships with PPS’ customers.

In this role you will get to:

• Serve as a key point of contact within the legal team for business stakeholders within the PPS division.

• Assist in managing commercial contract drafting and negotiations for all PPS services and products, working closely with the Senior Managing Counsel to ensure successful contract execution, and engaging with requesters via Priceline’s contract lifecycle management platform (e.g., Conga/Apttus).

• Support the Senior Managing Counsel in advising on new strategic partnership opportunities.

• Apply your legal skills and a proactive approach to help identify and analyze legal issues arising in the PPS business.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized contract templates and processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including privacy, data security, marketing, and others) to support the resolution of legal issues related to PPS initiatives.

• Assist the Senior Managing Counsel with the instruction and management of outside counsel on commercial and corporate matters.

• Learn to exercise autonomy and an ownership mentality in working with key stakeholders to support business objectives.

• Assist in phases of litigation, including legal research and document preparation, and provide support in employment law and compliance matters as needed, while also assisting in the management of external counsel.

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on litigation, employment law, and regulatory compliance issues, contributing to the team's ability to effectively address client needs in these areas, and aid in the coordination and oversight of external legal resources.

Who you are:

• 1-5 years of commercial legal experience; exposure to in-house legal environments an asset but not required.

• Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.

• Member in good standing with the Manitoba Law Society.

• Excellent drafting and communication skills.

• Interest in the travel, hotel/accommodations, or tech industry.

• Comfortable working with contract management tools and assisting in contract administration processes.

• Willingness to travel occasionally (typically in the U.S. and Canada) as needed.
