JOB DETAILS

The role is responsible for providing financial system and accounting support to our Apertures – U.S. organization and will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the implementation of an enterprise resource planning system (“ERP”) from an accounting, finance and operations perspective, including the development of accurate financial reporting and compliance with Cornerstone Building Brands’ policies. This role will have a significant impact on the organization's financial performance and growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fluid integration and roll-out of new ERP within Cornerstone Building Brands processes and systems. Ensure transactions flow end-to-end across multiple systems and are correctly recorded in the general ledger
  • Support ERP project from an accounting and financial reporting perspective including requirement identification, user acceptance testing and production implementation support from a process and operational standpoint
  • To help implement new processes and controls to support the finance system implementation and ensure these are fully documented
  • Work with auditors to ensure that all requested documentation is provided timely
  • Influence and lead change with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and improve operational processes
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes that involve the new ERP
  • Provide data and reporting requirements, develop reports for accounting and operational management of the reconciliation processes
  • Diagnose data quality/bad transaction issues by drilling down into complex data structures to extract the root cause of issues and effectively communicate the issues and potential solutions to accounting and information technology teams
  • Assist in the training and development of workshops to assist with other finance/accounting team members can operate the new ERP
  • Ability to travel to various manufacturing facilities while implementing the new ERP
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with JDE E1 is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work as part of team in a fast-paced environment, achieving goals with others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • All Microsoft Office products proficiency desired

Business Partner – Well-developed business acumen and an ability to effectively influence decision-making by drawing on analysis and insight. Develops a deep commercial knowledge of key business drivers and builds relationships across the enterprise, appropriately balancing business objectives and compliance. Strong project management skills and can work well with all levels of an organization.
