Job Description
Teledyne Relays (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC) is a manufacturer of Electromechanical Relays, Solid State Relays, Power Controllers, RF COAX Switches and RF Matrix switching systems. The primary manufacturing facilities are located in the United States and Mexico. We are a vertically orientated manufacturing and design company with major operations in Southern California.

We are looking for Cost Accountant to join our team!
The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining standard costs and its ongoing analysis. This role will be a key member of the accounting team in providing costing support and in other accounting areas.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain standard cost accounting system.

Perform month-end close closing process.

Perform account reconciliation of inventories and cost of sales.

Prepare period cost reserve analysis, E&O reserve analysis, and related journal entries.

Perform variance analysis such as Purchase Price Variance and Work Order variances.

Prepare period cost reserve analysis, E&O reserve analysis, and related journal entries.

Prepare quarterly variance explanation for income statement and balance sheet.

Lead year end physical inventory.

Prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.

Assist and prepares for SOX Testing and other financial audits.

Ensure accuracy of financial information in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with internal accounting policies & procedures

Assists with related special projects as required and other duties as assigned by Controller.
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Required.

Minimum 4 years of related experience in job cost analysis

Experience with proper procedures for month-end cutoff transactions & reconciliation of subledgers to General Ledger

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong understanding of financial statements and reports

Info XA ERP and BNA Fixed Assets experience a plus.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Working on holidays may be required.
Salary: Up to 140K

Salary Range:
$93,500.00-$125,950.000
